High Speed Crash involving SSC Tuatara

SSC and its high-speed supercar, the Tuatara, haven't had the best of luck. The company's assertion that it had broken the 300-mph barrier turned out to be false, prompting a second try that was marred by technical issues, and a third effort that did set a record but fell short of the 300-mph target.

Friday May 7th the vehicle was on its way to Utah for a record run when the cargo carrier tipped over in high winds, destroying the truck and the car, according to the report. The vehicle will still be fixed for a potential effort, according to the company and there might be another attempt in the future.
