Q&A with Car Enthusiast Noah Reid

If you could race at any track in the world, which track would you pick?

"If I could race at any track in the world, it would be at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama. It is the longest nascar oval compared to the Daytona International Speedway in Florida. Talladega is a huge race for Nascar and I think it would be super cool to race at that track."

What’s your favorite car movie?

"Fast n Furious because of the different types of cars it shows off. I love the race culture and character development throughout the series too."

What one current driving law would you eliminate if you could?

"A current driving law that I would eliminate would be the barefoot law. I don’t think people should be charged with reckless driving if caught driving without shoes on. The reason they have this law is that law enforcement believes if you get in an accident the reason may be because you didn’t have on shoes but in my opinion texting, not looking, etc. are way more likely reasons to be in an accident."

What do you think is the most beautiful car ever built?

"In my opinion, the most beautiful car ever built is the ferrari laferrari. It has 949 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque which brings it’s 0-60 time to 2.5 seconds. I also think the design is the most beautiful car design I have seen."

Do you have a name for your current car? What’s the story behind that name?

"Yes I do have a name for my current car. I named my car Anastasia because it’s a beautiful name that I was going to name my first-born daughter but I got excited and jumped the gun. The reason I chose to name my car was because it’s my first car and I feel a more personal connection with it rather than it just being an object and calling it a car."

Rumored Ferrari F125 TDE

Many eyes will be on Ferrari this week as the 812 Competizione and 812 Competizione A are unveiled. Ferrari may be working on yet another limited version behind closed doors.

Is it possible that this is the Ferrari F125 TDE?
This may not be its official name, as this detail, like the car itself, is founded on hearsay. That being said, if this is the F125 TDE, designers think it's a stunning vehicle! It's possible that it was planned by Touring Superleggera.

The F125 TDE is said to be based on the F12 TDF, but it has a very different top hat. The exterior has been completely redesigned, including a wraparound window and a fixed rear spoiler that blends in seamlessly with the bodywork. Often note the massive rear diffuser and the center exhausts.

Ferrari F40 in Japan Catches Fire

In Japan, a Ferrari F40 caught fire and was damaged. Luckily, the supercar's passengers were able to flee in time.

This video shows firefighters attempting to put out the flames. The vehicle, however, seemed to be totally destroyed by the time the fire department responded to the scene.

This isn't the first time a Ferrari F40 has caught fire. A related car caught fire in Monaco last year. It was later announced that, after the disruption, it was being repaired. As a result, it's possible that the owner of the Japanese F40 will opt to rebuild his car as well.

A 3.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 471 horsepower and 426 pound-feet of torque powers the F40. A 5-speed manual transmission is mated to the engine. Just 1,300 cars were made, and a decent one today sells for about $1.5-2 million.

2021 Tesla Roadster

Even if most Model S and Model X customers don't recall it, the original Tesla Roadster placed the all-electric auto manufacturer on the map. The second-generation Roadster, set to debut in 2021, improves on its predecessor by introducing two small back seats, a significantly longer driving range, and a significantly higher performance level.

When it goes into production in 2021, the 2021 Roadster will be a new addition to Tesla's lineup, bringing back the badge used for the company's first model from 2008.

Tesla estimates that the basic Roadster will cost $200,000 and the Creators Collection will cost $50,000 more. Apart from the fact that only 1000 Creators Series versions will be produced, we don't know what makes them unique. If you're a collector, the extra money can be worth it; otherwise, save your money.

When the 2021 Tesla Roadster was introduced as a prototype in November 2017, Musk boasted about the car's results, which included a 1.9-second time to 60 mph, a top speed of over 250 mph, and a quarter-mile time of just 8.8 seconds.

The 200-kWh battery is claimed to have up to 620 miles per charge, but that figure will almost definitely only be achieved in very light use; hitting the track for some plain hot laps will drastically reduce that estimate.

For the time being, the 2021 Roadster is just a prototype, and designs often shift dramatically as production vehicles. The Roadster design has a removable glass-panel roof that can be stowed in the trunk, as seen. It has four benches, but with the Roadster's sharply inclined roofline, the back two seem to be too small for adults.

4. BUGATTI VEYRON SUPERSPORT: 268 MPH

Although the Bugatti Veyron will be five years old in 2020, it remains one of the fastest supercars ever made. In reality, the Veyron comes in the fourth position with a top speed of 267.8 mph, which was achieved by Bugatti in 2010.

5. BUGATTI CHIRON: 261 MPH

One of four Bugattis on our list is the regular Bugatti Chiron. The Chiron, which replaced the Veyron in 2016, keeps the quad-turbo W-16 engine but boosts power to 1,479 horsepower and 1,180 pound-feet of torque.

High Speed Crash involving SSC Tuatara

SSC and its high-speed supercar, the Tuatara, haven't had the best of luck. The company's assertion that it had broken the 300-mph barrier turned out to be false, prompting a second try that was marred by technical issues, and a third effort that did set a record but fell short of the 300-mph target.

Friday May 7th the vehicle was on its way to Utah for a record run when the cargo carrier tipped over in high winds, destroying the truck and the car, according to the report. The vehicle will still be fixed for a potential effort, according to the company and there might be another attempt in the future.
